When I was in High School I was such a competitor; not competitive against others but against myself!  I wanted to do the best I could with my gifts, specific abilities, and talents.  Both academically and physically in sports I was very driven to be the best I could be.  As I have reached “adulthood,” started a family, grown a business, I have the same mentality.  When I was coaching I’d always challenge my team to “LEAVE IT ALL ON THE TABLE.”  What I really meant was, “Give it all you got!  Don’t leave this game tonight with any regrets of  doing more.”  At the end of the day that is all you can do.  And in doing so you’ll feel good about your performance and contribution.  We chose to name our business, Col 3:23.

Ive been in the Game with It Works! Global for five years.  Our journey hasn’t always been easy;  it’s been the road less traveled for sure, but we are in the game and IT has changed our lives!  This ONE decision to get involved in a Home-Based Business has changed our lives FOREVER!

As I reflect on 2011 and look ahead to 2012 I can’t help but get excited about the 100′s of 1000′s of lives we will have an opportunity impact.  What is my game plan?  How will I make 2012 record breaking?  I’ll share our story with passion, excitement and nothing will hold me back!  I want to find others who are tired of sitting on the sidelines.  The best advice I can offer to you is, “Get in the game!”

It seems like all year I can’t wait to attend our annual Freedom Conference.  This year I have been anxiously awaiting our convention as it was changed to January from our usual time of year, August.  AND we moved our conference from Michigan to Tampa.  It was a beautiful weekend.  Im not just talking about the weather.  The weather was FANTASTIC but what rocked my world was conference itself.  AND again not so much the content, the format, but the people!  It’s the people that keeps IWG the fastest growing, full of integrity and absolutey the HOTTEST company to join on the globe!  I loved reconnecting with all our friends and colleagues over the couple days as well as all the new team members I had never met.  Wow it was just life changing.

As I heard the stories upon stories throughout the conference of the LIVES that had been effected through their involvment with It Works! Global, I couldn’t help but take pride in the choice we made five years ago to get involved.  That ONE decision has changed so many lives physically, financially, relationally and spiritually.  I can’t even begin to give credit to the MAJOR stories of weight loss.  Life saving health benefits and overall well being of so many in the room.  Then as we turned to the topic of finances, I was blown away with how IWG is truly a ‘bailout’ financially for so many. Nobody cares about your family’s health, future and finances quite like YOU do.  The day you choose to get started with It Works! or work your It Works! business with intention is the day ONE DECISION will officially change your life!

Founder & CEO of It Works! Global, Mark Pentecost, said it best “One decision can change your life. This can be the day you take your future into your own hands. What will your decision be?”

In my background of coaching basketball and teaching school I know that to be true.  As I did my devotional this morning the topic was, “RAISE YOUR SELF-IMAGE,”  As a man thinks in his heart, so he is. -Proverbs 23:7.

I am learning as a coach, entrepreneur, friend, mom and wife that I will never rise above the image I have for myself.  If I focus and see myself as unsuccessful, poor, defeated, not good enough, than that is the life I will live. However, if I change my thinking and focus to believe in the good that is desired for me and stay focused on this rather than destructive focus of my life I will prosper and grow.  “Faith is the substance of things hoped for.”  So I have decided to get my hopes up, to agree with God and focus on the fact that I can do all things through Christ who stregnthens me.  My faith is what can help me reach new levels of victory as a mom, wife, entreprenuer, business partner, friend and more!

Let me put it this way, I am a mom of 3.  If you can relate imagine all the good things you hope and believe for for your child!  Our father has the same desires for us!  We have a choice; Are we going to walk in destruction and defeat or Victory?   Once we make our choice it is our job to support that choice with what influences us.  You know the saying, “Garbage in/Garpage out…”  What are you gonna allow to affect you?  Television?  Books?  People?  Your environment? Whether you want it to or not, all of these will play a factor.  So be very intentional with who you allow to influence you, with what you take in and where you take it in at!   The best advice I can give is that if you want to make more money, learn and listen from people who are more financially successful than you.  If you want to be healthier, talk to someone in great shape or has had success in this area of his or her life!  My point is this; we don’t go to an eye doctor to improve our hearing.  Be sure you are being influenced by the correct influencers that will take you where you want to go!

As I started getting excited about all of the fellow It Works! team members I will be seeing in a couple of weeks at Freedom Conference 2012, it struck me that the idea behind being “ALL IN” didn’t have to do with just my commitment and my belief level, but should include all of the great people who will be attending conference this year. This makes me think of  a great article by Andy Andrews titled “Burn The Boats,”

Finding Personal Greatness Through a New Level of Commitment.

In order to help others reach the level of success they are looking for we have to RAISE their commitment.  If we are going to raise their commitment we have got to help them DREAM bigger.  Why?  Without the DREAM there is no direction, drive or vision.  Extraordinary results are the result of extraordinary effort, which is driven from extraordinary dreaming/vision.

We have a lot of excuses to keep us from going ALL IN.  Kids, involvement in activities, full time jobs, maybe a second job, we are in relationships, we have hobbies and responsibilities in the church, with our families, in our schools etc…  So how are we going to do this?  Where will the time come from?  It comes down to priorities.  We are all busy, but in my opinion, if we don’t do anything different today, tomorrow will NEVER be different!  With that said, what is your priority?  Where are you spending your time?  I figure we each can really have two to three top priorities.  Those priorities are going to change regularly, but remember you have to be so uncomfortable with the NOW that you are willing to do whatever it takes to get there!  It comes down to embracing sacfrice as a positive thing.

As I read about Cortez and his ability to raise his team’s belief in the “prize,” I thought that is our calling.  We are to encourage, motivate, empower and raise the belief levels of others on our team until they see it in themselves.  Cortez ran daily pep rallies, he trained and organized for his team how they were going to take the prize!  He was already successful and had a substancial amount of wealth, but he knew there was more!  And on the final day they rallied together for one last hoorah before going in after the treasure… Instead of “We are going to give it our best shot,” they heard Cortez say, “Burn the boats!” It was DO OR DIE!  There was nothing to fall back on.

“What are the boats in your life that are keeping you from accomplishing what you really want?  What vessels in your mind are keeping afloat the fear of doubt and frustrations that hold you captive?”  Whatever keeps you from achieving your dreams is a boat that needs to be burned.  Don’t allow yourself to fall back on anything.  RISK BIG TO WIN BIG!  Go all in.  And if you are all in… help as many others BURN their boats, raise their confidence and GO ALL IN!  I cannot express how excited I am to see as many of you as possible at

Nathan and I have named our business after this very verse and belief.  Col:3:23.  This is another reason I love what I do!!  On another note, it aligns well with the industry at hand.  In Direct Sales all of my reward is based on my personal effort.  Not all in my own strength, but spirit led.  And in Network Marketing it’s based on ALL of our effort in the beginning and as we grow our team, working together and leveraging our efforts we create MASSIVE residual, which results in less of our OWN efforts and more of a collaboration of efforts.  Again your business is a result of your own excellence, ethics and integrity.

Sometimes we don’t have any control of our circumstances, but we can control how we react, learn from and treat others through the process.  DO EVERYTHING as in working for the Lord and NOT men.  I love it!

In today’s society, many people have accepted mediocrity as the norm. They do as little as they can to get by, always looking for the easy way out. If the boss isn’t watching, they’re playing on the computer. They simply go to work to pick up a paycheck, then wonder why they’re not promoted and don’t see increase. It’s because God doesn’t bless mediocrity; He blesses excellence.

Whatever we do, we should do it to the best of our ability and set the standard. Remember, you are ultimately working for the Lord. He’s the one who put those talents and abilities in you. You are a steward of the gifts He’s given. Other people may show up late. They may complain. They may cut corners. But don’t sink down to their level — you are working for Almighty God. You are called to excellence!

I encourage you today, stay determined. Stay focused. Whether you’re a waitress, a truck driver, an architect, a police officer or a CEO, do it to the best of your ability. God is the one who brings promotion. When you set the standard, He will raise you up and pour out His blessing all the days of your life.

A woman who was cut with a razor blade on the mouth area as a child, causing a lot of scarring and wrinkles canceled an invasive surgery because she was having such great results with our Lifting Lip and Eye Cream.
